This unit is somewhat customized for the needs of each ground station. Typically a 720 MHz wideband signal from the antenna system input is amplified, slope equalized for cable tilt, and split into several wideband outputs. If a telemetry signal is present in the wideband input, conversion to 70 MHz is included for output to the telemetry receivers. Likewise the 720 MHz wideband input from the modulator is slope equalized to overcome cable tilt experienced in routing to the outdoor converter. If telemetry loop back is desired, the 70 MHz telemetry signal is up converted to the proper frequency and added to the overall wideband 720 MHz output. |
