The Wideband Data Receiver – Multirate (WDR-MR), at a 720 MHz IF carrier frequency, demodulates QPSK, OQPSK, AQPSK, BPSK or UQPSK at data rates from 20 Mb/s to 350 Mb/s. It has an internal bit synchronizer signal conditioner (BSSC) slot for one ultra high data rate satellite, typically 320 Mb/s. Analog I and Q signals on the rear panel can be routed to two BSSC Expansion Chassis (WDR-EC). Each Expansion Chassis can process signals from up to four high data rate satellites. Thus a total of at least nine satellites can be processed (some BSSC modules process several satellites). Input f i l t e r ing, AGC and Costas bandwidth, modulation mode are controlled both locally and remotely. Likewise, filter selection status, bandwidth status, modulation mode status, demod lock, and internal BSSC locks are provided locally and remotely.
